For Tim Stanley, things changed the day two tiny sister kittens—Cupcake and Rainbow—entered his world. This blog post tells the story of how Tim came to adopt Cupcake and Rainbow—or perhaps how they adopted him—and why he believes they were always meant to be part of his life.

(as written by Tim Stanley)

"To give you a little background of Cupcake and Rainbow, they were feral kittens.  They were born on my property in August or September 2023.  The mother cat abandoned them, and they made their way up to my front flower bed in October where Cupcake was banging on the window.  At this time, they were about one month old.  Both cats were shivering and hungry.

I knew that they were not going to survive going into winter since they had little shelter and food.  I tried to find a rescue shelter, but they were all full and would not take the kittens.  The Ten-Lives Club were closed for a few days, and I tried them when they opened, and they took the kittens.  I paid for all their care, medical and even the adoption fee since I wanted these kittens to be together since they knew each other from birth, but there was no guarantee that those kittens be adopted together.  I did check in periodically with the Ten-Lives Club about the kittens.

For some reason, I believed that those kittens came into my live for a purpose, so I decided to adopt them.  As my veterinarian stated those kittens have won the lottery.

The neighbor is trying to catch the mother cat to have it neutered, but that cat won’t be caught.  That mother cat had two more kittens last spring, but they died and once again she abandoned them.  That is one problem with living in a rural area that people drop off their unwanted animals for us to deal with instead of taking care of them.

I am an animal lover and have started a fund to help people that cannot afford veterinary care.  My website is shadowsveterinarianrelief.org if you are interested in checking it out."
