Portraits are rendered from your photographs. Your photo must be clear and preferably close-up in order to reveal detail, special markings, and accurate coloring. You are encouraged to send more than one photo. Remember to indicate which angle or pose you would like to see portrayed, and if you would like a head study, or full body portrait.
These drawings are not photographs, but my interpretation of the photos you send me. The better the photo, the better the drawing. Please see Photo Tips - How to take a good photo of your pet
Photos will be returned to you with completed artwork. Artwork is done on high quality, heavyweight, acid-free drawing paper. Berol Prismacolor Pencils are used for colored-pencil Portraits. All portraits will fit in a standard sized frames that you can buy ready-made.
Completed (unframed) portrait is mailed to you in 4-6 weeks. Christmas orders must be placed by Sept. 30th in order to ensure delivery (as I am often busy at that time of year). If you would like a commission in time for a special occasion such as a birthday please let me know and I will do my best to meet the deadline for you. I will e-mail you a report of how the drawing is progressing, as well as ask any questions I may have to complete your Pet Portrait. (e.g.- exact eye color, collar, desired background, pet's name on artwork, etc.)
Custom matting and/or framing (with quality, acid-free materials) is also available at an additional charge. Quotes are given at customer's request.

If for any reason you are not totally satisfied with your commission, just return the portrait in it's original condition you will receive a full refund.
